Forskerforbundet has 18 000 members, making it Norway's largest and leading trade union and special interest organisation for employees in research, higher education, museums and cultural heritage work.
In 2003, the existing design was out of control and lacked convincing finesse or holistic thinking.
King Design was asked to evaluate the situation and to suggest design improvements, which at a glance, could be recognizable to members and contacts, but much clearer.
Initially, our work included a logo facelift and a unified scheme for use of colour, typography and layout. We commissioned a collection of illustrative photographs and have built up a unique picture archive for the client. King Design continues to produce work for Forskerforbundet on a regular basis, thereby ensuring a consistent, but modern expression.
Since the redesign was launched, membership has grown by approximately 30 %.
Specially commissioned photography ensures originality and a consistant visual language.
